Last few days

Thursday and Friday we spent time conversing with our new friends.  It has been a blessing to hear more stories of their faith.  We have had opportunities to share His love for them. It was hard for us to say goodbye yesterday.  Today we are debriefing with Armand and Jean.  We have learned so much from them this week. We leave for the airport very early Sunday morning.  Please pray for our travels and for our new friends that we leave behind.

Mid Week Study

Today we were able to visit a few parts of the city.  This evening we spent time studying the Word with our new friends.  We shared prayer requests, read His word, worshiped in song and gave thanks to Him.  We ended our time together with an authentic meal.  Please continue to pray for our team as we have two more days to spend talking with our friends.  Pray that He will give us guidance as we speak and share with them.   

Meeting New Friends

The past two days we spent a good portion of each day conversing with our new friends.  Everyone we have met has been very welcoming.  Some of the people we've spent time with are believers and some are not.  We have seen and heard how He is working and has worked in their lives.  We praise and thank Him for that.  We have also been able to share our stories with them.  Please continue to pray for their lives.  We thank Him for our continued health, energy and the blessing we have received so far.  Tomorrow evening we will attend a service in their language.  Pray that they will be receptive to the message.  We thank you so much for your continued support and prayers! 

How He Loves Us

greetings from the other side of the world. we went to an enligh church service today and then later on in the afternoon went to another service in a different language.  after the second service the ladies got together to do nails and chat while the men went and played a soccer game.  we have been so blessed with meeting such caring people.  it was a blessing to worship with so many today. we are all in great health and are enjoying getting to spend time with our friends here.  please pray that our conversations tomorrow with our new friends will be uplifting and encouraging.  

A Wonderful Beginning

we had an exciting first day. we did orientatin and learned more about the work here.  we were able to see the location that we will be meeting and conversing with our new friends throughout this week.  we went to an old fort that overlooks the entire city.  the city is larger than we expected. the meals have been wonderful and we are all in good health.  thank you for keeping us in your thoughts.

Here We Are!

Our trip started off a little differently than we expected with a change in our first flight but we made all of our flights.  We arrived safely and with all of our luggage Friday evening.  We were able to get settled and have dinner with Armand and Jean.  We are really looking forward to a great weekend of meeting new people and doing our soccer and craft night.  Thank you so much for your prayers today.  We love you and will keep you posted!

The Countdown Begins!

We have been preparing for months for this week's arrival.  On Thursday we will be heading to Southwest Asia to help our friends from Westover.  Our team has been very blessed in the past few months with team unity and fellowship.  We want to thank you so much for supporting us financially and with your prayers.  As we countdown the days (3 to go), we are busy packing our bags and making final preparations for the trip.  During our ten day stay, we will be working with Iranian and Afghan refugees, running English camps and hosting a soccer night.  Our prayer is that we be an encouragement and support the workers there as much as we can.  Our schedule is very flexible so please pray that we are able to have willing hearts to do whatever we can to help.  Thank you so much for your support!  We will keep you updated as our departure approaches.
